Everything You Need to Know About Our Roofing Sheets

Our roofing sheets are robust, stylish and versatile. Spanning from large commercial and agricultural roofs to smaller domestic installations, our steel sheets are suitable for all projects, and can be custom-made to various lengths to perfectly execute your vision.

If you’re undecided on which type of sheet or coating will suit your requirements, this is the perfect place to compare the profiles, colours, specifications and benefits of each type of sheet.

32/1000 Box Profile Roofing Sheets

Characteristics of 32/1000 Box Profile Sheets

32/1000 box profile sheets are defined by their six ridges at 32mm depth. The resulting sheet is strong and adaptable to industrial, agricultural, commercial and domestic uses. With wide valleys between profiles, debris can be easily cleared and water runoff is especially effective.

These durable galvanised steel sheets can be coated with polyester paint, PVC plastisol or left plain to fit with certain colour and resistance requirements. Our 32/1000 box profile sheets are also available with an additional Dripstop anti-condensation layer upon request, which will reduce condensation build-up as well as the risk of water damage further down the line.

Maintaining 32/1000 Box Profile Sheets

The lifespan of our 32/1000 box profile depends on the coating selected and the environment that the sheets are situated in. However, these roofing sheets can be maintained when needed to ensure that they provide long-lasting protection to projects.

Fallen branches, twigs and dirt can easily be swept from the roof when it becomes noticeable. On coloured roofing sheets, if they appear scratched or show small signs of wear and tear over time, our touch–up paint can be used in these areas to cover markings or repair any visible scratches.

How to Install 32/1000 Box Profile Sheets

Our 32/1000 box profile sheeting is available in custom lengths to ensure a perfect, bespoke fit. Compatible with a wide range of flashings, these sheets provide a neat and professional finish once installed.

We offer a variety of fixings suitable for all types of installations, ensuring secure and long-lasting results, whatever the application. For more detailed information, including technical specifications, please see our 32/1000 box profile datasheet and installation guide.

You can use our handy roofing calculator to work out how many sheets you’ll need to order.

How much do the 32/1000 box profile sheets need to overlap?

32/1000 box profile sheets should be overlapped by a minimum of one profile for every sheet.

Which thickness is best for my project?

Generally, we recommend using our 0.5mm thick box profile metal sheets for cladding projects, while our 0.7mm box profile sheets are perfect for roofing installations. The extra thickness provides increased strength that is more needed with roofing projects.

What coating is best for my 32/1000 box profile project?

Both polyester paint finishes and PVC plastisol are popular choices within this roofing style. 13/3 Corrugated Roofing Sheets

Characteristics of Corrugated Roofing Sheets

The predominant feature of this sheeting is the 13 round corrugations in the steel. These profiles create structural and dimensional integrity, as well as providing the corrugated sheets with their signature waved appearance.

Available in several finishes: polyester paint, PVC plastisol and galvanised, there are a number of colours and levels of resistance to choose between. Also, corrugated roofing sheets are available with a specialist Dripstop layer to protect the system from excess condensation and moisture build-up.

Maintaining Corrugated Roofing Sheets

Although our roofing sheets are resistant to the environmental factors, it is recommended to carry out checks to keep the sheets performing their best for longer. When debris, such as leaves, begin to clutter the roof, simply clear it away. This will help to elongate the lifespan of your sheets in the long term.

For scratches or scuffs that have penetrated the coated layer, our touch-up paint is perfect. This will allow you to cover small affected areas to also increase the longevity of your roofing system.

How to Install Corrugated Roofing Sheets

These sheets are supplied in custom lengths in order to be adaptable to project specifications, making installation simpler. Compatible flashings are also available in the same coated finishes, along with a wide range of fixing options to ensure a complete and professional roof.

For more details about the sheets’ specifications, you can refer to our corrugated datasheet. Installation, handling and safety information can also be found in our installation guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are 13/3 corrugated roofing sheets?

What fixings should be used with these sheets?

We recommend using 65mm TEK or self-drilling screws with BAZ washers, which create a weatherproof seal when fixed on the top of the corrugation profile.

What is the minimum roof pitch for installation?

Construction using 13/3 corrugated roof sheets can safely be undertaken down to a 10° roof pitch.

How many corrugated roofing sheets will I need for my project?

You can work out the amount of sheets that you’ll need for your specific project using our online roofing calculator. As well as giving you your total amount of sheets, flashings and fixings needed, it will supply you with a full quote for these items.

30/500 Standing Seam Roofing Sheets

Characteristics of Standing Seam Roofing Sheets

Our standing seam sheets are made from pre-coated galvanised Swedish steel. The result is a highly resistant metal roofing sheet that has a potential lifespan of 40 years. Available with a ribbed or smooth surface finish, both options create stunning modern architectural looks with ease.

The innovative GreenCoat® Pural BT coating is a sustainably made layer that resists corrosion, weather, UV and scratching to produce strong and safe roofing solution - A1 fire-rated.

Maintaining Standing Seam Roofing Sheets

The enhanced bio-based coating on these sheets makes them incredibly durable. However, it’s always worth checking your standing seam roofing every so often to ensure that nothing is building up on the structure, which could cause issues in the future.

Down the line, if scratches or scuffs occur that penetrate the outer layer, our touch-up paint is the ideal fix. It’s simple to use on small areas where only a light touch is needed, and can mean that your overall roofing system lasts longer.

How to Install Standing Seam Roofing Sheets

Standing seam can seem like a complex install, partly due to the many adjoining flashing elements and the hidden fixing system. This is why we have extensive resources to help with this process and make it as easy as possible for customers.

Our standing seam datasheet is a great way to explore more about the sheet’s specifications and technical information, while our installation guide provides advice specific to the process of installing. We also have a standing seam explainer video that walks through the step-by-step tutorial of installing both cladding and roofing standing seam.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the fire rating on these sheets mean?

An A1 fire rating (BS EN 13501) is the highest possible classification for construction materials. It confirms that the sheets are fully non-combustible and smoke-resistant.

What coverage do these sheets have?

Each 30/500 standing seam sheet provides 500mm width coverage once installed.

What is the purpose of the ribs on the roofing sheets?

The 1.5mm ribs increase sheet stability and reduce the chance of oil canning - a visual distortion that can occur on large flat metal surfaces. They also help minimise vibration and noise caused by high winds or roof movement.

How will I know how many standing seam sheets I'll need?

The Cladco online roofing calculator is the perfect place to work out how many sheets you’ll need for your specific project requirements.

What roof types are standing seam sheets suitable for?

They are suited for a wide range of roof designs, including: mono-pitch, dual-pitch and lean-to extension roofs. The interlocking design creates a strong water seal, making them ideal for low pitches (from 6°).
