FAQs
How thick should my cladding battens be?
Cladding battens need to be a minimum of 25mm thick in order to support the cladding boards. This is the case with all of our cladding battens.
How do you fit the cladding battens?
When installing cladding battens, they must be drilled at least 50mm into the surface behind. They should be placed at a maximum of 50mm apart.
Is it better to screw or nail my cladding to the battens?
Screwing is recommended. Mark up the board, pre-drill pilot holes and then secure with screws to the supporting battens.
