Product Quality
These durable and stable boards are designed to be the ideal cladding addition to any home. Cladco fibre cement cladding is low maintenance, requiring only an occasional wash when dirt becomes visible. Due to the absence of natural fibres in the composition of the boards, the risk of expansion and contraction is minimal. Backed by a 10-year warranty, our fibre cement cladding is also resistant to UV exposure.

Product Range
Supplied in 3.6m lengths, you can choose between a lapped or click installation system. In addition, the option of a smooth or authentic woodgrain surface finish offers design flexibility. Our fibre cement cladding is available in a wide range of colours, with trims and screws to help you achieve a seamless and professional finish.
FAQs
What is fibre cement cladding?
Fibre cement cladding boards are high-quality fibre cement boards manufactured using state of the art technology.
Fibre cement boards, unlike timber or composite boards, do not have any traces of wood fibres, so should not expand or contract with the weather. The boards are made using a mixture of cellulose fillers and fibres with water, creating cement. The cement is then pressed and rolled, extracting any excess moisture, creating a pliable material formed into the 3.6m cladding boards.
The woodgrain effect is etched into the boards for the final touches, and then are painted using a ‘paint-and-bake’ method for a superior finish.
What is the difference between fibre cement wall cladding and composite wall cladding?
Fibre cement and composite wall cladding have many differences. They are made of a different material, come in different colour ranges, are installed differently and are available in slightly different lengths and widths.
Fibre cement lap cladding boards offer more coverage than our composite options due to the larger expanse of width each board has. While both our Signature and ProClad composite ranges are made from a wood and plastic mix, fibre cement is manufactured from just that - fibre cement.
Fibre cement lap boards are installed in a weatherboard technique, whereas both composite boards are installed with the tongue and groove method. Learn more about your options by ordering a sample pack.
What are the benefits of fibre cement wall cladding?
When transforming the exterior of your home, or adding cladding to a garden studio, room or garage, it is important to consider if the product has any additional benefits.
Cladco fibre cement lap cladding boards are 3.6m long and 210mm wide, covering 0.65m² per board. The boards also come with the following properties:
- Low-maintenance – no need to sand, varnish or paint, just the occasional wash
- Comes in a range of colours as well as unpainted
- Durable and stable board design
- Minimal expansion and contraction due to the lack of natural fibres within the boards
- UV resistant
- Rot, warp and splinter resistant due to the low absorption rate
- Insect resistant
- Class B fire rating ( accreditation here for more information)
- 10-year warranty
Can fibre cement wall cladding boards be cut?
Yes, Cladco fibre cement wall cladding boards can be cut. When cutting, fine dust is released into the air - this mineral itself is harmless, however dangerous if inhaled and will constitute a health hazard. A Level P3 respiratory protective mask should be worn when cutting the boards. The boards must be cut outside and it is recommended to use a wet saw to reduce dust particles. Further information and other applicable legislative requirements can be found by visiting the health and safety executive page of the gov.uk website.
Can Cladco fibre cement wall cladding boards be painted?
Cladco fibre cement wall cladding has been painted using a paint and bake method which gives the boards increased durability and strength. Boards can either be painted an alternative colour (if you are doing this, we recommend purchasing the unpainted board) and can be touched up if necessary.
What is the difference between the fibre cement lap and click cladding boards?
The difference between our lap and click boards is the way that they are installed as well as the final look of the cladding boards in-situ. Fibre cement lap boards are installed with an overlapping feathered effect that leaves a traditional exterior finish. Click boards employ a hidden fixing ‘click’ system that allows boards to lay flush against one another.
