About Our 0.7mm GreenCoat® Steel Standing Seam Roof Sheet without Ribs

If your project calls for a sleek metal roof that prioritises clean lines and modern simplicity, our ribless A1 fire-rated 30/500 standing seam sheets offer a contemporary finish without compromising on strength or performance. Designed for both roofing and cladding, this interlocking system delivers a refined, minimalist look that suits design‑led domestic and commercial builds.

Manufactured from premium pre‑coated steel and rated A1 for fire safety, these sheets provide outstanding performance in projects where safety, durability and appearance are equally important. The absence of ribs creates a smooth, uninterrupted surface similar to traditional zinc roofing, making these sheets ideal for contemporary extensions, stylish conversions, and architectural new builds that demand visual impact.

To support a range of installation needs, sheets are available with either a 32mm pre‑folded eaves lip for secure eaves detailing or straight‑cut ends for cladding applications. The interlocking seams create a strong mechanical connection between sheets, ensuring a stable, weather‑resistant finish even on more challenging sites.

Benefits of Ribless 30/500 Standing Seam Sheets

  • Smooth ribless profile for a clean, uninterrupted look
  • Hidden fixings for a premium standing seam aesthetic
  • Strong weather seal at pitches as low as 6°
  • A1 fire-rated (BS EN 13501) for maximum protection
  • Eco-friendly GreenCoat® Pural BT coating, BES 6001 certified
  • Resistant to rusting with up to 40 years’ lifespan in normal environments

Manufactured from 0.7mm SSAB Nordic steel with an eco‑friendly GreenCoat® Pural BT coating, these sheets are responsibly sourced, BRE Green Guide A+ rated, and fully recyclable. With a 275g/m2 galvanised zinc base and durable 50‑micron topcoat, Cladco standing seam sheets offer excellent corrosion resistance and colour stability, giving the system a long service life with minimal maintenance.

Each sheet provides 500mm cover width and features simple interlocking seams for fast, secure fitting. Concealed fixings preserve the clean, architectural appearance, while the system’s strong water seal allows installation at roof pitches as low as 6°. Pair them with our matching flashings for a consistent, fully weather‑tight finish.

Fixing Guidance

For best results, install over RoofTX Maxi roofing membrane on OSB or plywood, securing sheets with annular ring nails.

In high‑wind or coastal areas, additional reinforcement using colour‑matched low-profile stitcher screws is advised. For fixing sheets into timber or connecting overlapping runs lengthways, our 35mm low-profile wood screws offer a discreet and reliable solution. While the use of these screws result in a small number of visible fixings, their colour‑coordinated finish helps them merge with the rest of the system.

When handling sheets, rotate them clockwise with the eaves end forward to avoid damaging the surface of the sheet. A standard tolerance of ±10mm applies.

How To Calculate Square Metres plus minus

Working out the total square meterage of your roof will require measuring the total width of the roof’s area as well as the distance from the eaves (the lowest point) to the apex (the highest point) of the roof. This should be undertaken carefully and safely.

We recommend taking these measurements from the inside of your building for safety purposes. Multiply the two measurements together to give the total square meterage of the roof.

For apex, or dual-sided, roofs, you will need to work out the square meterage of each side of the roof and add the numbers together for the total coverage.

Customer Collection Notice

Please ensure you have pre-booked your collection slot before travelling to site.

When arriving to collect your order, please report to a member of our Warehouse Team who will register your arrival and locate your goods. Once ready, your items will be picked and brought to your vehicle loading area.

During busy periods, there may be a short wait while our yard team assist other customers or complete other loading tasks. We always do our best to work within your booked collection time.

We respectfully draw your attention to the following important points:

  • Loading is ultimately the customer’s responsibility. While our team can assist with mechanical loading using forklifts, we cannot handball items into enclosed vehicles. Customers must ensure their vehicle is suitable and that goods are safely loaded and adequately secured before leaving the premises.
  • Sharp sheeting, metal goods, and long/heavy items may pose additional handling risks. Please come prepared with high-quality protective gloves, and any appropriate protection materials to avoid damage to your vehicle or restraints (e.g. ropes or straps). The edges of roofing sheets and metal products can be extremely sharp, and care should be taken when handling.
  • We strongly recommend that customers bring their own straps, ropes, or other securing materials, as we are unable to provide these at the point of collection.
  • If you are unsure of your vehicle’s load capacity, we can advise the approximate weight of your order in advance. It is your responsibility to ensure your vehicle is suitable for transporting the goods safely and legally.
  • Cladco will not be held liable for any damage to your vehicle or goods once they have been loaded and leave our premises. Loading assistance is provided entirely at the customer’s own risk.

Click & Collect – Pre-Booking Required

You are welcome to collect your order from either our Okehampton (Devon) or Andover (Hampshire) site. All collections must be pre-booked in advance so your items can be picked, packed and ready for you.

Please do not travel to site without a confirmed collection time, as we cannot guarantee your order will be available.

Once your items are ready, you will receive an email with a link to book your collection slot. Please note, same-day collections are not available and bookings must be made at least two hours in advance.

When you arrive, please bring your order confirmation and follow the signage to the collection area where a member of our team will assist you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Standing seam sheets can be manufactured to a maximum length of 7 meters. If longer lengths are required, please contact our Sales Team at 01837 659901 for further assistance.

Cladco standing seam sheets are manufactured from 0.7mm SSAB Nordic steel, which is known for its strength and durability. They feature a GreenCoat® Pural BT coating, an eco-friendly finish made using Swedish rapeseed oil, providing excellent resistance to corrosion, scratches, and UV damage.

Sheets with ribs provide extra stability and help prevent oil canning (surface distortion) and drumming in high winds, making them ideal for exposed areas. Sheets without ribs are often chosen for aesthetic reasons, offering a smooth, uninterrupted finish.

They create a strong water seal and can be safely installed on roof pitches as low as 6°, thanks to their interlocking standing seam design.

Of course! You can explore our range of metal sheet coating samples here. Please note that these samples do not showcase the specific profiles we have available. They do, however, illustrate the choice of coatings, helping you to make your decision.

Yes, they are designed for versatility and can be used for both roofing and wall cladding applications. For roofing, sheets with an eaves lip are recommended for secure fixing, while cladding installations typically use straight-cut ends.

The life expectancy of our standing seam sheets, when used for roofing or cladding, is up to 40 years. The durable Pural BT finish resists damage due to weather conditions which allows for a long, low-maintenance life.

Yes, all Cladco standing seam sheets are A1 fire-rated to BS EN 13501, which is the highest classification for fire safety in construction materials. This means they are non-combustible and offer maximum protection for your project.
