What is a lean to roof?

A Lean to roof can be defined as a building, or a structure where the roof protrudes / leans on the side of a building, with the other part of the roof traditionally proped up with rafters.

Do I need planning permission for my shed?

In some cases, you may need planning permission for your shed.

Your shed should abide by the following rules:

No exceed 2.5metres in height.

Is your shed within 2 metres of your properties boundary walls

Along with other outdoor buildings, decking and patios, the shd doesn't take up more than 50% of your outdoor space.

You do not live in a listed building, an area of the outstanding natural beauty of a national park.

Do I need planning permission to change the materials on my roof?

Alteration to your roof, i.e. changing the materials, is not often a need for planning permission as it is considered permitted development. However, in some cases, i.e. if you are in a listed building, in an area of outstanding beauty or a national park, planning permission may be required. Can you help me dispose of my old roofing?

We do not dispose of old roofing materials. This will need to be undertaken either by yourself or by specialist removal company depending on the material involved.

Do you have coloured screws available for Roofing Sheets?

No, Cladco does not offer coloured screws to match the Roofing Sheets, however, Cladco does offer Colour Caps.

The Colour Caps match the Roofing Sheets to ensure your Roofing project has a seamless and polished finished appearance. Simply place the Caps over the 8mm Hex Head Screws on your Roofing Sheet.

What's the maximum sheet length?

Cladco Profiles are equipped to handle any sized orders. Simply contact our sales team for quotes and further information Cladco Profiles have a range of roofing profiles on offer, each of these has different maximum specifications they can be manufactured to:

For 34/1000 box profile 0.5mm maximum length is 7 metres.

For 34/1000 box profile 0.7mm maximum length is 9 metres.

For 32/1000 box profile 0.7mm maximum length is 9 metres.

For 32/1000 box profile 0.5mm maximum length is 7 metres.

For 13/3 corrugated profile, 0.7mm maximum length is 7 metres.

For 13/3 corrugated profile, 0.5mm maximum length is 5 metres.

For TileForm Profile maximum length is 6 metres.

Do I need Z Purlins and What is a Z Purlin?

Z Purlins are often placed as a supporting structure between roofing sheets or vertical cladding for added strength, support, and flexibility. compared to other materials used for the same purpose. Why are Roofing Sheets corrugated?

Roofing Sheets are available in four profiles, Box Profile 32, Box Profile 34, Tileform and Corrugated. How are Roofing Sheets made?

Cladco Profiles manufactures all roofing sheets from a steel coil in the chosen colour and coating. These coils of steel are transferred to our rolling machines and the profile and length of your choice are manufactured to the requirement.
