Plastic Lumber Subframe Fixings – Hex Head Screws (50 Pack)
These 8mm hex-head screws, made from Ruspert®-coated steel, are perfect for recycled plastic joists. With a 6.3mm thread diameter for a strong, secure fix, choose 90mm for parallel joins or 125mm for noggins and corners. Supplied in boxes of 50.
With a 6.3mm diameter thread, Cladco plastic lumber subframe fixings feature an 8mm hex head and are designed for joining subframe components in recycled plastic and composite systems. They’re suited to building and tying together joists and rails in typical decking subframe layouts, balancing strength, ease of installation and value.
Use 90mm screws for smaller or parallel joins where materials sit side by side. Choose 125mm screws for noggins or perpendicular joins where extra reach is helpful. Both lengths are supplied in 50-pack boxes for simple handling on site and straightforward stock control.
Installation is familiar to most installers. Fit a suitable hex socket to a drill or impact driver and follow best practice on fixing frequency and spacing for your chosen subframe layout. The screws are fully threaded, providing consistent engagement along the fixing — a good match for plastic and composite subframe applications — without changing the standard installation approach.
These fixings are compatible with recycled plastic joists and posts and composite joists (structural and non-structural). For best results, store packs indoors in a dry environment and keep boxes sealed until use. Always plan your subframe layout first so you can estimate the quantity of fixings needed and avoid unnecessary returns.
