About Our 110° PVC Plastisol Abutment Flashings

When you need a durable, long‑lasting flashing for lean‑to roofs or wall junctions, these abutment flashings offer a reliable way to finish internal angles neatly and professionally. Designed to flex 10–15° during installation, they sit cleanly to the structure and provide a strong, weather‑resistant detail for a wide range of profiled roofing projects.

Manufactured from multi‑layered, galvanised steel and coated with a PVC plastisol leather‑grain finish, these flashings offer a tough, highly scratch‑resistant surface. In normal environments, the PVC plastisol coating can provide a service life in excess of 40 years. The coating is available in 11 colours, including anthracite and merlin grey, to complement the look of your profiled sheets.

Benefits of 110° PVC Plastisol Abutment Flashings

  • Provides a neat, weather‑resistant junction where roofs meet walls
  • Tough PVC plastisol, leather‑grain finish
  • Galvanised steel construction for reliable durability
  • Safety welt increases rigidity and edge strength
  • Compatible with various profiled roof sheets

These flashings are recommended for use with Cladco 13/3 corrugated, 32/1000 box profile and 34/1000 box profile roofing sheets, and are also available in polyester paint, GreenCoat® Pural BT and plain galvanised finishes. To learn more about our range of flashings, click here.

A safety welt increases rigidity and improves the appearance of the final installation. The nominal 200mm x 200mm profile provides approximately 195mm x 195mm of installed coverage due to the welt.

Fixing Guidance

Allow a 200mm overlap between one abutment flashing and the next, and secure each piece to the sheets with 22mm stitcher screws to create a weather‑tight joint. A safety welt aids safe handling, though protective gloves are still recommended for working with metal edges.

For a clear explanation of overlaps, fasteners and best‑practice installation steps, please refer to our installation guides before starting your project. If you require any more information, be sure to explore our Help & Advice page.

Customer Collection Notice

Please ensure you have pre-booked your collection slot before travelling to site.

When arriving to collect your order, please report to a member of our Warehouse Team who will register your arrival and locate your goods. Once ready, your items will be picked and brought to your vehicle loading area.

During busy periods, there may be a short wait while our yard team assist other customers or complete other loading tasks. We always do our best to work within your booked collection time.

We respectfully draw your attention to the following important points:

  • Loading is ultimately the customer’s responsibility. While our team can assist with mechanical loading using forklifts, we cannot handball items into enclosed vehicles. Customers must ensure their vehicle is suitable and that goods are safely loaded and adequately secured before leaving the premises.
  • Sharp sheeting, metal goods, and long/heavy items may pose additional handling risks. Please come prepared with high-quality protective gloves, and any appropriate protection materials to avoid damage to your vehicle or restraints (e.g. ropes or straps). The edges of roofing sheets and metal products can be extremely sharp, and care should be taken when handling.
  • We strongly recommend that customers bring their own straps, ropes, or other securing materials, as we are unable to provide these at the point of collection.
  • If you are unsure of your vehicle’s load capacity, we can advise the approximate weight of your order in advance. It is your responsibility to ensure your vehicle is suitable for transporting the goods safely and legally.
  • Cladco will not be held liable for any damage to your vehicle or goods once they have been loaded and leave our premises. Loading assistance is provided entirely at the customer’s own risk.

Click & Collect – Pre-Booking Required

Frequently Asked Questions

Edges may be sharp, so we recommend wearing cut‑resistant gloves rated to EN388:2016 and handling with care to protect both the coating and your hands.

Yes. If your project requires non-standard flashings, we can manufacture custom-made flashings to suit almost any profile or angle. Custom flashings are available for corrugated, box profile, standing seam, and tile form sheeting.

It’s suitable for our 13/3 corrugated, 32/1000 box profile, and 34/1000 box profile roofing sheets.

The PVC plastisol coating has a textured leather‑grain surface that provides a robust, high‑durability finish. It has improved resistance to scratching and general wear, helping your installation look good for longer, even in demanding conditions.

The safety welt is a small folded edge that increases the strength and rigidity of the flashing while offering a smoother, safer edge during handling and installation.

This flashing closes and protects the junction where a lean‑to roof meets a wall or internal angle, creating a tidy, weather‑resistant seal. Its 110° fold and built‑in flex help it sit neatly to the building’s angle, giving the roof edge a clean, professional finish while helping prevent water ingress.

Each piece is folded to a 110° internal angle but can flex 10–15° either way during fitting. This flexibility helps the flashing sit accurately to the structure, accommodating small variances in pitch or angle without forcing the steel or affecting the finished look.

Although the flashing is made to a 200mm x 200mm profile, the 5mm safety welt reduces usable coverage to 195mm x 195mm. The welt strengthens the edge and improves handling safety, so the small loss of coverage is normal and expected for this style of flashing.
