About Our 110° Galvanised Abutment Flashings

If you’re looking for a straightforward flashing to create an effective internal junction on a lean‑to or similar structure, these 110° galvanised abutment flashings offer a practical, durable solution. Each piece is folded to a 110° internal angle and can flex 10–15° during installation, helping it settle cleanly to the roof or wall connection.

Manufactured from multi‑layered galvanised steel coils, this plain galvanised finish provides a rust‑resistant, metallic appearance that matches Cladco galvanised roofing sheets. The material offers long‑term resilience and suits agricultural, industrial or functional projects where a plain, low‑maintenance finish is preferred.

Benefits of 110° Galvanised Abutment Flashings

  • Creates a clean, weather‑resistant junction at internal angles
  • Plain galvanised finish for a traditional, low‑maintenance look
  • Galvanised steel construction for strong, long‑lasting durability
  • Safety welt improves rigidity and handling
  • Recommended for 13/3 corrugated, 32/1000 and 34/1000 box profile sheets

These flashings are recommended for use with Cladco 13/3 corrugated, 32/1000 box profile and 34/1000 box profile roofing sheets, and are also available in PVC plastisol, polyester paint and GreenCoat® Pural BT coatings.

Fixing Guidance

Allow a 200mm overlap between one abutment flashing and the next, and secure each piece to the sheets below using 22mm stitcher screws. The safety welt adds strength and handling support, though we recommend wearing cut‑resistant gloves, such as our Cut Level 5 protective gloves, when working with metal edges.

For guidance on overlaps, fixings and best‑practice installation methods, please refer to our installation guides before starting your project.

Customer Collection Notice

Please ensure you have pre-booked your collection slot before travelling to site.

When arriving to collect your order, please report to a member of our Warehouse Team who will register your arrival and locate your goods. Once ready, your items will be picked and brought to your vehicle loading area.

During busy periods, there may be a short wait while our yard team assist other customers or complete other loading tasks. We always do our best to work within your booked collection time.

We respectfully draw your attention to the following important points:

  • Loading is ultimately the customer’s responsibility. While our team can assist with mechanical loading using forklifts, we cannot handball items into enclosed vehicles. Customers must ensure their vehicle is suitable and that goods are safely loaded and adequately secured before leaving the premises.
  • Sharp sheeting, metal goods, and long/heavy items may pose additional handling risks. Please come prepared with high-quality protective gloves, and any appropriate protection materials to avoid damage to your vehicle or restraints (e.g. ropes or straps). The edges of roofing sheets and metal products can be extremely sharp, and care should be taken when handling.
  • We strongly recommend that customers bring their own straps, ropes, or other securing materials, as we are unable to provide these at the point of collection.
  • If you are unsure of your vehicle’s load capacity, we can advise the approximate weight of your order in advance. It is your responsibility to ensure your vehicle is suitable for transporting the goods safely and legally.
  • Cladco will not be held liable for any damage to your vehicle or goods once they have been loaded and leave our premises. Loading assistance is provided entirely at the customer’s own risk.

Frequently Asked Questions

Edges may be sharp, so we recommend wearing cut‑resistant gloves rated to EN388:2016 and handling with care to protect both the coating and your hands.

The natural galvanised finish is low maintenance with no painted topcoat, offering a traditional appearance and reliable corrosion protection. It also provides a timeless look, suitable for traditional settings.

They are manufactured from strong, plain galvanised steel for long‑lasting durability and corrosion resistance.

Yes. If your project requires non-standard flashings, we can manufacture custom-made flashings to suit almost any profile or angle. Custom flashings are available for corrugated, box profile, standing seam, and tile form sheeting.

It’s suitable for our 13/3 corrugated, 32/1000 box profile, and 34/1000 box profile roofing sheets.

The safety welt is a small folded edge that increases the strength and rigidity of the flashing while offering a smoother, safer edge during handling and installation.

This flashing closes and protects the junction where a lean‑to roof meets a wall or internal angle, creating a tidy, weather‑resistant seal. Its 110° fold and built‑in flex help it sit neatly to the building’s angle, giving the roof edge a clean, professional finish while helping prevent water ingress.

Each piece is folded to a 110° internal angle but can flex 10–15° either way during fitting. This flexibility helps the flashing sit accurately to the structure, accommodating small variances in pitch or angle without forcing the steel or affecting the finished look.

Although the flashing is made to a 200mm x 200mm profile, the 5mm safety welt reduces usable coverage to 195mm x 195mm. The welt strengthens the edge and improves handling safety, so the small loss of coverage is normal and expected for this style of flashing.
