    Universal applicator gun for use when you purchase our silicone cartridge. Add this item to you order to avoid against that extra trip to the shops when you can’t find your old one. This gun has a cartridge cleaning pin to help keep the nozzle clear. Made of sturdy metal construction with a moulded handle and nozzle cleaning pin and is designed to carry our 310ml silicone cartridges.

    Features

    A caulking gun is an essential tool in every roofing kit. It can be used for a wide range of applications, perhaps most importantly for roof waterproofing with silicone sealant.

    Our silicone sealant gun is strong and sturdy yet weighs just 347g, making it very easy to use with our silicone sealant. It features a pressed steel frame; handle with plunger; and release clip. Painted in an attractive blue and grey finish, this caulking gun will be easy to find in your kit. It is suitable for use with standard size 310ml tubes of silicone and caulk. The trigger fits comfortably in the hand with finger recesses that help keep the cartridge gun steady while using.

    Using a caulking gun to apply silicone sealant is a good method for roof waterproofing at gaps in roofing sheets. When using filler strips at the eaves and ridges of a roof, it’s a good idea to bond it to the sheeting with a waterproof silicone sealant, also known as mastic sealant. Make sure you don’t leave any gaps for a complete seal. This simple step adds an extra layer of protection that can prolong the life of your roof.     Note: our roofing sheets are designed to be affixed with screws. Where sheets overlap, we recommend sealing the overlap using mastic lapping tape for roof waterproofing. Read our guide on laying sheets for more information on this.
