Brett Martin 170mm Deepstyle PVC Gutter in Black – 4m
Part of Brett Martin’s Deepstyle range, this 170mm x 4m gutter combines high-capacity performance with a sleek, UV-resistant gloss black finish. Made from lightweight PVC, it installs easily with 110mm fittings and is ideal for large roofs on homes, warehouses, or farm buildings. BS EN 1462 certified for lasting reliability.
Robust Gutter Design for Large Homes, Farms & Commercial Projects
Designed as part of Brett Martin’s Deepstyle Rainwater Systems, this 170mm x 4m gutter features a deep semi-elliptical profile that provides significantly greater flow capacity than standard half-round systems. This design helps reduce the risk of overflow during heavy rainfall, ideal for managing water on large domestic roofs, commercial premises, warehouses, agricultural buildings, and other high-demand drainage areas.
Manufactured from strong yet lightweight PVC, the gutter is both easy to handle and straightforward to install. It’s compatible with Brett Martin's PVC 110mm downpipes and connects easily with a full range of Deepstyle fittings, including union brackets and running outlets, thanks to featuring Brett Martin’s CLIP & SEAL technology.
Its UV-resistant, high-gloss black finish retains its appearance over time and complements both traditional and modern architecture. PVC components have been independently tested to BS EN 607 for accelerated ageing, offering reliable durability in outdoor conditions.
Rigorously tested to BS EN 1462 (Load Class H) standards for structural integrity and load-bearing capacity, this gutter provides a durable, long-lasting solution for residential and commercial drainage systems.

Installation tips
Gutter lengths can be cut to size using a fine-toothed saw. Once cut, smooth the sawn ends with a file to ensure a clean fit. When cutting, allow for expansion by aligning the ends with the expansion lines clearly marked on the fittings.
For a secure and watertight installation, apply a suitable silicone spray lubricant to the seals before assembly. This makes it easier to fit the components together.
For effective drainage, the guttering should be installed with a gentle fall towards the rainwater outlet. A recommended gradient is approximately 1mm of fall for every 600mm of gutter length. To ensure proper flow, the running outlet should be positioned at the lowest point in the gutter run.
Handling
This Brett Martin rainwater system is manufactured from lightweight PVC, making it easy to carry and install. However, care should still be taken when handling gutter lengths and fittings to prevent knocks or scratches that could affect both performance and finish.
Storage
To keep your Brett Martin guttering and fittings in top condition, store all items in a clean, dry environment away from direct sunlight or impact risk. Gutter and pipe sections should be laid flat on a smooth, level surface to prevent warping or distortion.
If outdoor storage is unavoidable, leave items in their original packaging until they’re ready to be installed, as this helps protect the surface and maintain their appearance.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance of your rainwater gutter systems is essential, with cleaning recommended at least once a year. In areas prone to significant windborne debris, such as falling leaves, more frequent inspections and clearing may be necessary.
The high-gloss finish of the guttering helps resist dirt build-up, but when external cleaning is required, a mild detergent solution is suitable for removing surface grime without damaging the finish.

Customer Collection Notice
Please ensure you have pre-booked your collection slot before travelling to site.
When arriving to collect your order, please report to a member of our Warehouse Team who will register your arrival and locate your goods. Once ready, your items will be picked and brought to your vehicle loading area.
During busy periods, there may be a short wait while our yard team assist other customers or complete other loading tasks. We always do our best to work within your booked collection time.
We respectfully draw your attention to the following important points:
- Loading is ultimately the customer’s responsibility. While our team can assist with mechanical loading using forklifts, we cannot handball items into enclosed vehicles. Customers must ensure their vehicle is suitable and that goods are safely loaded and adequately secured before leaving the premises.
- Sharp sheeting, metal goods, and long/heavy items may pose additional handling risks. Please come prepared with high-quality protective gloves, and any appropriate protection materials to avoid damage to your vehicle or restraints (e.g. ropes or straps). The edges of roofing sheets and metal products can be extremely sharp, and care should be taken when handling.
- We strongly recommend that customers bring their own straps, ropes, or other securing materials, as we are unable to provide these at the point of collection.
- If you are unsure of your vehicle’s load capacity, we can advise the approximate weight of your order in advance. It is your responsibility to ensure your vehicle is suitable for transporting the goods safely and legally.
- Cladco will not be held liable for any damage to your vehicle or goods once they have been loaded and leave our premises. Loading assistance is provided entirely at the customer’s own risk.
