Details

Ideal for navigating around corners, projections, or fixed features like windows, this 135° double-socket bend redirects the flow of water in a 110mm downpipe run while maintaining consistent discharge. It is part of Brett Martin’s industrial rainwater system and is fully compatible with high-capacity 170mm Deepstyle guttering.

Each socket includes an integrated rubber seal, allowing for quick, watertight, push-fit assembly without the need for adhesives or mechanical fixings. This fitting provides an effective solution for tight layouts where a gentle change of direction is needed, whether in residential or commercial installations.

Manufactured from tough, UV-stabilised PVC and tested to BS EN 1329, this bend is built for long-term durability in above-ground rainwater drainage systems. Its black finish matches the wider Brett Martin system for a coordinated and professional appearance.

Bend specifications

  • Angle: 135°
  • Material: PVC
  • Socket type: Double socket with push-fit seal
  • Colour: Black
  • Standards: BS EN 1329
  • Guarantee: 10 years

Installation tips

Ensure the pipe ends are square-cut, clean, and free from burrs or debris. Spray the inside of each socket with a suitable silicone lubricant to aid smooth insertion. Push the pipe into the socket until resistance is felt, ensuring the seal is fully engaged. Align the bend to maintain continuous flow and fit support brackets as needed to prevent joint strain.

Handling

This Brett Martin rainwater system is manufactured from lightweight PVC, making it easy to carry and install. However, care should still be taken when handling gutter lengths and fittings to prevent knocks or scratches that could affect both performance and finish.

Storage

To keep your Brett Martin guttering and fittings in top condition, store all items in a clean, dry environment away from direct sunlight or impact risk. Gutter and pipe sections should be laid flat on a smooth, level surface to prevent warping or distortion.

If outdoor storage is unavoidable, leave items in their original packaging until they’re ready to be installed, as this helps protect the surface and maintain their appearance.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance of your rainwater gutter systems is essential, with cleaning recommended at least once a year. In areas prone to significant windborne debris, such as falling leaves, more frequent inspections and clearing may be necessary.

The high-gloss finish of the guttering helps resist dirt build-up, but when external cleaning is required, a mild detergent solution is suitable for removing surface grime without damaging the finish.

Customer Collection Notice

Please ensure you have pre-booked your collection slot before travelling to site.

When arriving to collect your order, please report to a member of our Warehouse Team who will register your arrival and locate your goods. Once ready, your items will be picked and brought to your vehicle loading area.

During busy periods, there may be a short wait while our yard team assist other customers or complete other loading tasks. We always do our best to work within your booked collection time.

We respectfully draw your attention to the following important points:

  • Loading is ultimately the customer’s responsibility. While our team can assist with mechanical loading using forklifts, we cannot handball items into enclosed vehicles. Customers must ensure their vehicle is suitable and that goods are safely loaded and adequately secured before leaving the premises.
  • Sharp sheeting, metal goods, and long/heavy items may pose additional handling risks. Please come prepared with high-quality protective gloves, and any appropriate protection materials to avoid damage to your vehicle or restraints (e.g. ropes or straps). The edges of roofing sheets and metal products can be extremely sharp, and care should be taken when handling.
  • We strongly recommend that customers bring their own straps, ropes, or other securing materials, as we are unable to provide these at the point of collection.
  • If you are unsure of your vehicle’s load capacity, we can advise the approximate weight of your order in advance. It is your responsibility to ensure your vehicle is suitable for transporting the goods safely and legally.
  • Cladco will not be held liable for any damage to your vehicle or goods once they have been loaded and leave our premises. Loading assistance is provided entirely at the customer’s own risk.

Frequently Asked Questions
It redirects water flow by 135°, allowing pipes to navigate around corners, projections, or fixed features like windows. It’s ideal where a gentle directional shift is needed without interrupting system performance.
In space-limited areas, this bend provides a smoother, more compact directional change compared to using two separate 45° bends, saving space while maintaining flow efficiency.
The gentler angle reduces turbulence and pressure loss, helping to maintain smoother discharge in gravity-fed systems, particularly important for avoiding blockages in industrial rainwater drainage.
Each socket includes an integrated rubber seal for push-fit connection, enabling watertight jointing without solvent welding or mechanical fixings.
Ensure pipe ends are square-cut and clean. Lubricate the inside of each socket and push the downpipe in until resistance is felt. Always align the bend for continuous flow and support it properly to reduce stress.
