Constructed by the highly skilled Bude Carpentry and Building Ltd team, Nan's House showcases the deep, smoky tones of Millboard®'s Burnt Cedar-coloured Envello Shadow Line+ cladding, the perfect accompaniment to the building's natural slate roof.

"Externally, the property underwent a complete transformation. The existing elevations were fully re-clad using a combination of Millboard Shadow Line+ burnt cedar cladding and a premium-quality quartz stone panel system."

Installed vertically to give the building a sense of height and scale, the cladding boards create the illusion of natural timber through its authentic woodgrain finish and subtle tonal variation.

Set in the rural expanse of North Cornwall, the house's bold dark-grey façade stands prominently against the rolling fields and verdant hedgerows.

Extending around the property, Millboard® Enhanced Grain decking in Ashwood was installed across a 120m² deck, forming a seamless connection between the home's interior and the outdoors. While aesthetics played a decisive role in selecting the right materials for the renovation, what truly underpinned the project from the outset was the need to create a practical, fully accessible living space. Central to the brief creating a fully accessible living environment, helping to provide a more accessible transition between indoor and outdoor areas.

The decking's soft, natural Ashwood tones provide a refined contrast to the deep, smoky hues of the Burnt Cedar cladding, creating a harmonious exterior palette that complements the surrounding North Cornwall landscape.
