About Our 34/1000 Box Profile Polyester Paint Coated Roof Sheets

When it comes to metal roofing, your project needs a sheet that combines strength, durability and dependable performance, something capable of handling demanding environments across commercial, industrial and agricultural settings. That’s where our Cladco 34/1000 box profile roof sheets come in. Available as a single‑skin sheet in both 0.5mm and 0.7mm thicknesses, they can be used to build up an insulated system, over‑clad an existing roof, or provide a solid weatherproof covering on their own.

With a 34mm profile depth and seven profiles per sheet, the 34/1000 offers greater rigidity than our 32/1000 alternative, which features six profiles per sheet. Each rib is set at 166mm centres, giving a practical cover width of 1000mm when lapped, with pan widths of approximately 71mm. This deeper, tighter profile layout increases resistance to uplift and provides a more industrial appearance, making the 34/1000 particularly well suited to exposed or remote locations.

Benefits of 34/1000 Box Profile Sheets

  • Stronger seven‑rib design for increased rigidity
  • Reliable performance in exposed or remote locations
  • Suitable for roofing and cladding builds
  • Installs safely on roof pitches of 4° and above
  • Durable 25‑micron polyester finish in four colours

Most commonly used on industrial, agricultural and commercial buildings, 34/1000 box profile sheets can also be used on domestic projects where a strong, practical roof covering is required. Suitable for roof applications of 4° or higher, this profile provides a reliable, weather‑resistant solution for a wide range of building types.

Finished with a smooth 25‑micron polyester paint coating for dependable weather resistance, these sheets are available in four colours. Black and light grey offer a neutral, versatile look, while slate blue and juniper green add a subtle touch of colour to your project. In typical conditions, expect 8–12 years to first maintenance, with an overall lifespan of more than 20 years when correctly installed.

Specifications

You can choose between 0.5mm and 0.7mm sheets, allowing you to select the right balance of weight and strength for your project. The 0.5mm option is ideally suited to cladding installations, while the 0.7mm thickness offers dependable, long‑lasting performance for roofing applications. For 0.7mm sheets, we also provide Dripstop, an anti‑condensation membrane designed for roof pitches of 10° and above.

Fixing Guidance

For a secure and weather‑tight installation, we provide a wide range of flashings in a matching polyester‑painted finish, helping you create a consistent, professional‑looking roof system. Cladco box profile sheets should always be fixed through the valley of the profile using appropriate through‑sheet self‑drilling fasteners. Care should be taken not to under‑ or over‑tighten screws to ensure the washer seals correctly. For a neat, consistent appearance, colour‑matching screw caps are also available to conceal fixings.

To learn more about how to install your sheets, fixings, fillers, flashings, and more, please take time to read our helpful 34/1000 installation guide.

How To Calculate Square Metres plus minus

Working out the total square meterage of your roof will require measuring the total width of the roof’s area as well as the distance from the eaves (the lowest point) to the apex (the highest point) of the roof. This should be undertaken carefully and safely.

We recommend taking these measurements from the inside of your building for safety purposes. Multiply the two measurements together to give the total square meterage of the roof.

For apex, or dual-sided, roofs, you will need to work out the square meterage of each side of the roof and add the numbers together for the total coverage.

Customer Collection Notice

Please ensure you have pre-booked your collection slot before travelling to site.

When arriving to collect your order, please report to a member of our Warehouse Team who will register your arrival and locate your goods. Once ready, your items will be picked and brought to your vehicle loading area.

During busy periods, there may be a short wait while our yard team assist other customers or complete other loading tasks. We always do our best to work within your booked collection time.

We respectfully draw your attention to the following important points:

  • Loading is ultimately the customer’s responsibility. While our team can assist with mechanical loading using forklifts, we cannot handball items into enclosed vehicles. Customers must ensure their vehicle is suitable and that goods are safely loaded and adequately secured before leaving the premises.
  • Sharp sheeting, metal goods, and long/heavy items may pose additional handling risks. Please come prepared with high-quality protective gloves, and any appropriate protection materials to avoid damage to your vehicle or restraints (e.g. ropes or straps). The edges of roofing sheets and metal products can be extremely sharp, and care should be taken when handling.
  • We strongly recommend that customers bring their own straps, ropes, or other securing materials, as we are unable to provide these at the point of collection.
  • If you are unsure of your vehicle’s load capacity, we can advise the approximate weight of your order in advance. It is your responsibility to ensure your vehicle is suitable for transporting the goods safely and legally.
  • Cladco will not be held liable for any damage to your vehicle or goods once they have been loaded and leave our premises. Loading assistance is provided entirely at the customer’s own risk.

Click & Collect – Pre-Booking Required

You are welcome to collect your order from either our Okehampton (Devon) or Andover (Hampshire) site. All collections must be pre-booked in advance so your items can be picked, packed and ready for you.

Please do not travel to site without a confirmed collection time, as we cannot guarantee your order will be available.

Once your items are ready, you will receive an email with a link to book your collection slot. Please note, same-day collections are not available and bookings must be made at least two hours in advance.

When you arrive, please bring your order confirmation and follow the signage to the collection area where a member of our team will assist you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Dripstop is an anti-condensation felt membrane, that can be applied to the reverse of our 0.7mm thick box profile and corrugated roofing sheets. The Dripstop layer is designed to prevent condensation build-up on your roofing sheets. Dripstop will only work if it is applied to a well-ventilated building.

Find out more about Dripstop here.

The best box profile thickness for your project depends on how the sheets will be used.

Our 0.5mm sheets are most commonly used for wall cladding and lighter‑duty applications, while 0.7mm sheets offer greater strength and rigidity, making them better suited to roofing and more exposed environments. Considering factors such as load requirements, weather exposure and whether the sheets are being used for roofing or cladding will help you choose the most suitable thickness.

If you’re unsure, please get in touch with our Sales Team, who will be happy to help.

For roofing applications, 34/1000 box profile sheets can be installed on pitches of 4° or higher. Use conventional through‑sheet self‑drilling fasteners fixed through the valley to ensure a secure, weather‑tight installation.

Yes, both our 32/1000 and 34/1000 box profile sheets can be used as side cladding. We recommend using the 0.5mm thickness of sheet for this, as the lightweight structure makes it more applicable to cladding situations.

In normal environments, polyester‑painted sheets typically provide 8–12 years of service before first maintenance or repainting is required, with an overall lifespan in excess of 20 years when correctly installed and maintained.

Yes, sheets can be manufactured to bespoke lengths to suit your project requirements. Maximum sheet lengths are 7 metres for 0.5mm thickness and 9 metres for 0.7mm thickness, helping reduce onsite cutting and waste.

Yes. For large‑scale commercial projects, high volumes or specialist requirements, our team can provide technical guidance and quotations. Please call 01837 659901 for further assistance.

The 34/1000 profile has seven profiles and a 34mm depth, whereas the 32/1000 has six profiles and a 32mm depth. That extra rib and added depth increase rigidity and resistance to uplift, making 34/1000 well-suited to exposed or remote locations.

They are most commonly used on industrial, agricultural and commercial buildings, and can also be specified for domestic projects. Use as single‑skin, within a built‑up insulated system, or to over‑clad an existing roof or wall.

Of course! You can explore our range of metal sheet coating samples here. Please note that these samples do not showcase the specific profiles we have available. They do, however, illustrate the choice of coatings, helping you to make your decision.
