About Our 34/1000 Box Profile Galvanised Roof Sheets

When you need a tough, practical metal sheet that requires only minimal maintenance, Cladco 34/1000 galvanised box profile sheets deliver dependable performance across various projects, from domestic to agricultural and commercial.

With a 34mm profile depth and seven profiles per sheet, the 34/1000 offers greater rigidity and strength compared to our 32/1000 alternative (which has six profiles). The raised profiles are set at 166mm centres, providing an effective 1000mm cover width when lapped, with pan sections of approximately 71mm. This deeper, tighter layout increases resistance to wind uplift and provides a bold, industrial-style appearance.

Benefits of 34/1000 Box Profile Sheets

  • Seven‑rib design improves strength and stability
  • Performs consistently in hot or cold conditions
  • Ideal for agricultural, commercial and traditional builds
  • Safe installation on roof pitches of 4°
  • Low‑maintenance galvanised finish

Choose the thickness that best suits your application. Our 0.5mm sheet is a lightweight option recommended for cladding applications, while the 0.7mm offers greater rigidity for roofing. For roofing projects where condensation control is needed, we offer Dripstop on our 0.7mm sheets. This is a factory‑applied anti‑condensation layer designed for roof pitches of 10° and above.

Manufactured from zinc‑coated steel, the galvanised finish provides excellent thermal resilience and corrosion protection. With no painted topcoat, there’s nothing to blister, peel or degrade, ensuring consistent performance in both high and low temperatures. This thermal resilience and straightforward, uncoloured finish make galvanised sheets a popular choice for traditional builds and agricultural environments where a painted topcoat isn’t required.

Fixing Guidance

These 34/1000 galvanised sheets can be used as single‑skin, within a built‑up insulated system, or to over‑clad existing roofs and walls. When used for roofing, installation is suitable on pitches of 4° or higher, using conventional through‑sheet self‑drilling fasteners fixed through the valley of the profile.

To complete the system, we supply matching galvanised flashings and appropriate fixings, helping you achieve a clean, consistent finish and reliable long‑term weather protection. For a neat finish, colour‑matching screw caps are also available to conceal fixings. We recommend you have a look at our handy 34/1000 installation guide before you start your upcoming project. Here you’ll find useful advice on how to install everything from your sheets, to foam fillers, flashings, and other roof fixings and accessories.

How To Calculate Square Metres plus minus

Working out the total square meterage of your roof will require measuring the total width of the roof’s area as well as the distance from the eaves (the lowest point) to the apex (the highest point) of the roof. This should be undertaken carefully and safely.

We recommend taking these measurements from the inside of your building for safety purposes. Multiply the two measurements together to give the total square meterage of the roof.

For apex, or dual-sided, roofs, you will need to work out the square meterage of each side of the roof and add the numbers together for the total coverage.

Customer Collection Notice

Please ensure you have pre-booked your collection slot before travelling to site.

When arriving to collect your order, please report to a member of our Warehouse Team who will register your arrival and locate your goods. Once ready, your items will be picked and brought to your vehicle loading area.

During busy periods, there may be a short wait while our yard team assist other customers or complete other loading tasks. We always do our best to work within your booked collection time.

We respectfully draw your attention to the following important points:

  • Loading is ultimately the customer’s responsibility. While our team can assist with mechanical loading using forklifts, we cannot handball items into enclosed vehicles. Customers must ensure their vehicle is suitable and that goods are safely loaded and adequately secured before leaving the premises.
  • Sharp sheeting, metal goods, and long/heavy items may pose additional handling risks. Please come prepared with high-quality protective gloves, and any appropriate protection materials to avoid damage to your vehicle or restraints (e.g. ropes or straps). The edges of roofing sheets and metal products can be extremely sharp, and care should be taken when handling.
  • We strongly recommend that customers bring their own straps, ropes, or other securing materials, as we are unable to provide these at the point of collection.
  • If you are unsure of your vehicle’s load capacity, we can advise the approximate weight of your order in advance. It is your responsibility to ensure your vehicle is suitable for transporting the goods safely and legally.
  • Cladco will not be held liable for any damage to your vehicle or goods once they have been loaded and leave our premises. Loading assistance is provided entirely at the customer’s own risk.

Click & Collect – Pre-Booking Required

You are welcome to collect your order from either our Okehampton (Devon) or Andover (Hampshire) site. All collections must be pre-booked in advance so your items can be picked, packed and ready for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Dripstop is an anti-condensation felt membrane, that can be applied to the reverse of our 0.7mm thick box profile and corrugated roofing sheets. The Dripstop layer is designed to prevent condensation build-up on your roofing sheets. Dripstop will only work if it is applied to a well-ventilated building.

Find out more about Dripstop here.

The suitable thickness of our box profile roofing sheets for your project depends on factors like structural and durability requirements.

Thicker sheets offer increased strength and durability, ideal for demanding environments or larger structures. For standard residential or commercial applications, 0.5mm to 0.7mm thickness often suffices. Assessing your specific project's load-bearing needs and environmental conditions will help determine the most suitable thickness for optimal performance.

Yes. For large‑scale commercial projects, high volumes or specialist requirements, our team can provide technical guidance and quotations. Please call 01837 659901 for further assistance.

The 34/1000 profile has seven profiles and a 34mm depth, whereas the 32/1000 has six profiles and a 32mm depth. That extra rib and added depth increase rigidity and resistance to uplift, making 34/1000 well-suited to exposed or remote locations.

Yes. The robust zinc finish stands up well in exposed, hard‑working environments, making galvanised 32/1000 sheets a popular choice for agricultural roofing and cladding where practicality and resilience matter most.

The zinc coating provides sacrificial corrosion protection, and with no painted topcoat, there’s nothing to blister, peel or degrade. It’s low maintenance, thermally resilient and ideal where a traditional, uncoloured finish is preferred.
