About Our 32/1000 Box Profile Galvanised Roof Sheets

A practical and proven choice for projects where durability and simplicity are key, galvanised 32/1000 box profile sheeting is often favoured for traditional builds and agricultural environments where a coloured finish isn’t required and a clean, functional appearance is preferred. Offering dependable strength and long‑term performance, it’s well suited to both roofing and cladding applications across a wide range of building types.

Available in 0.5mm and 0.7mm thicknesses, this profile allows you to select the most appropriate option for your project. The 0.5mm sheets provide a lightweight solution often preferred for standard cladding applications, while the 0.7mm option offers increased rigidity and strength, making it better suited to roofing and more demanding applications.

The 32/1000 box profile is designed for reliable performance, featuring six profiles at 200mm centres and a usable cover width of 1000mm once lapped. Each profile stands 32mm high, with flat pan areas measuring approximately 132mm and crown widths of 24mm. This straightforward, robust profile makes galvanised sheets a practical choice where strength and simplicity are key.

Benefits of 32/1000 Box Profile Sheets

  • Excellent structural rigidity for demanding environments
  • Suitable for cladding and roofing applications
  • Performs reliably on roof pitches as low as 4°
  • Wider valleys compared to 34/1000 improve rainwater run‑off
  • Natural galvanised finish offers durable, low‑maintenance protection

Manufactured from steel, our galvanised sheets are protected by a continuous sacrificial zinc layer that helps protect it against corrosion. With no painted topcoat, there is nothing to blister, peel or degrade over time, ensuring consistent performance in both high and low temperatures. Galvanised steel also offers excellent thermal resilience, making it a popular and dependable choice for agricultural buildings and other exposed environments.

Fixing Guidance

Thanks to its robust construction, galvanised 32/1000 box profile sheeting can be used as part of a built‑up insulated system, for over‑cladding an existing roof, or as a single‑skin solution. When installed for roofing applications, sheets can be safely fixed on pitches as low as 4°, using conventional through‑sheet self‑drilling screws, such as our TEK‑type screws, secured through the lower part of the profile.

To complete your installation, we also supply a range of matching galvanised box profile flashings and foam fillers, helping to ensure effective weather protection and a clean, functional finish throughout the build.

To ensure a secure and weather‑tight installation, box profile sheets should be secured through the valley (lower part) of the profile. Screws must be tightened carefully, avoiding both under‑ and over‑tightening, to allow the washer to seal correctly. For a neat, uniform finish, colour‑matching screw caps are also available to conceal fixings.

Before you start any installation, we recommend you read through our easy‑to‑follow installation guide.

How To Calculate Square Metres plus minus

Working out the total square meterage of your roof will require measuring the total width of the roof’s area as well as the distance from the eaves (the lowest point) to the apex (the highest point) of the roof. This should be undertaken carefully and safely.

We recommend taking these measurements from the inside of your building for safety purposes. Multiply the two measurements together to give the total square meterage of the roof.

For apex, or dual-sided, roofs, you will need to work out the square meterage of each side of the roof and add the numbers together for the total coverage.

Customer Collection Notice

Please ensure you have pre-booked your collection slot before travelling to site.

When arriving to collect your order, please report to a member of our Warehouse Team who will register your arrival and locate your goods. Once ready, your items will be picked and brought to your vehicle loading area.

During busy periods, there may be a short wait while our yard team assist other customers or complete other loading tasks. We always do our best to work within your booked collection time.

We respectfully draw your attention to the following important points:

  • Loading is ultimately the customer’s responsibility. While our team can assist with mechanical loading using forklifts, we cannot handball items into enclosed vehicles. Customers must ensure their vehicle is suitable and that goods are safely loaded and adequately secured before leaving the premises.
  • Sharp sheeting, metal goods, and long/heavy items may pose additional handling risks. Please come prepared with high-quality protective gloves, and any appropriate protection materials to avoid damage to your vehicle or restraints (e.g. ropes or straps). The edges of roofing sheets and metal products can be extremely sharp, and care should be taken when handling.
  • We strongly recommend that customers bring their own straps, ropes, or other securing materials, as we are unable to provide these at the point of collection.
  • If you are unsure of your vehicle’s load capacity, we can advise the approximate weight of your order in advance. It is your responsibility to ensure your vehicle is suitable for transporting the goods safely and legally.
  • Cladco will not be held liable for any damage to your vehicle or goods once they have been loaded and leave our premises. Loading assistance is provided entirely at the customer’s own risk.

Click & Collect – Pre-Booking Required

You are welcome to collect your order from either our Okehampton (Devon) or Andover (Hampshire) site. All collections must be pre-booked in advance so your items can be picked, packed and ready for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Dripstop is an anti-condensation felt membrane, that can be applied to the reverse of our 0.7mm thick box profile and corrugated roofing sheets. The Dripstop layer is designed to prevent condensation build-up on your roofing sheets. Dripstop will only work if it is applied to a well-ventilated building.

Yes. Thanks to its well‑defined profile and wider valleys, 32/1000 box profile sheeting promotes efficient rainwater run‑off. This makes it a practical choice for buildings in rural or wooded locations where leaves and debris are more common, helping water flow freely off the roof when installed correctly.

Yes. For large‑scale commercial projects, high volumes or specialist requirements, our team can provide technical guidance and quotations. Please call 01837 659901 for further assistance.

Their clean, unpainted finish delivers a straightforward, functional appearance without colour. The zinc coating protects the steel, providing durability with minimal maintenance — ideal where a classic, no‑frills look is preferred.

With no painted topcoat to crack, blister or peel, galvanised steel remains stable in both hot and cold conditions. The zinc layer continues to protect the steel substrate, supporting reliable long‑term performance in changing temperatures.

Yes. The robust zinc finish stands up well in exposed, hard‑working environments, making galvanised 32/1000 sheets a popular choice for agricultural roofing and cladding where practicality and resilience matter most.

Galvanised 32/1000 sheets can be used as a single‑skin system, for over‑cladding existing roofs, or within a built‑up insulated system. For roofing applications, they can be installed on pitches as low as 4°, using through‑sheet self‑drilling fasteners fixed through the valley (lower part) of the profile.
